Greetings!
These are exciting times for Union Engineering programs. As our society becomes more technologically advanced and globally
connected, the opportunities for broadly educated Union
graduates are limitless!
Our programs provide students with
- a firm technical foundation,
- knowledge of the social context of engineering and an appreciation of other cultures,
- and a vision of the possibilities of emerging fields.
Some examples:
- About 80% of our engineering students study abroad
before they graduate.
- Students can take courses or minor in Nanotechnology, Bioengineering,
Digital Art, and other emerging disciplines.
- Classes are small and include hands-on laboratories and projects.
- Many engineering students minor in liberal arts
disciplines.
- Many of our students participate in research with faculty in areas
such as new energy sources, robot control, bioengineering, and several
others.
Yes, engineering is challenging! And YES, it
will give you the tools to improve our world!
