Welcome to the 3rd Tech Valley Engineering Symposium

The third Annual Tech Valley Engineering Symposium will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2007 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  This event is being sponsored by the local AIAA and ASME chapters in conjunction with the engineering schools at RPI and Union College, and will have a wide variety of topics of engineering and scientific interest. A major feature of the technical program will be a research review on the RPI-CATS in manufacturing and automation.

Our aim is to highlight the broad range of technological research and development activities being undertaken in New York State’s Capital District.  This event provides a forum for exchange of ideas and networking among various individuals from industry, academia and government in the local region.  There will be a morning plenary with keynote speaker, luncheon with an invited speaker (on a topic of local interest) an all-day technical program with three parallel technical sessions;  as well as technical exhibits, and professional development workshops and student/ work-in progress poster sessions in the afternoon.  The event wraps up with an evening social from 6:00-7:00 with drinks and cocktails.
